How integrations work

Integrations connect Kibo to the services you already use. Available today:

Integration What it does
Outlook Calendar Your Outlook events in the Kibo calendar, your Kibo tasks in Outlook
Outlook Mail The emails you mark for Kibo become tasks, or get added to the right one
Connect Kibo via MCP For developers: manage tasks and projects from Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other clients

More will be added over time and will appear in this chapter.

Two steps: the organization enables, you connect

  1. An administrator enables the integration for the organization, from Organization → Plugins. Until it is enabled, no member sees it.
  2. Each person activates it for themselves, from My account → Integrations → Plugins: click Activate, then Connect and sign in with your account for that service (for Outlook, your Microsoft account).

The connection is personal: Kibo reads and writes only in your account, and only after you have connected it yourself. An administrator cannot connect someone else's account.

Permissions: only the ones needed

Each integration asks the external service only for the permissions of the feature you use. If you connect the calendar first and the mail later, Microsoft asks you for the extra permission when it is needed; the card shows Action needed until you grant it with Grant access.

Once connected, the Settings gear next to the account opens the integration's options. They are all off until you turn them on.

Note

In some companies the Microsoft 365 administrator blocks external apps. In that case, when you sign in, Microsoft asks for administrator approval: contact your IT department.

Multiple accounts

You can connect several accounts of the same service (e.g. Work and Personal) with Add account. A Microsoft account is shared between calendar and mail: you connect it once, then choose in each integration what to do with it.

Your plan sets how many integrations you can have active: the counter at the top of the page shows it. At the limit, deactivate one or upgrade to a higher plan.

Deactivate and disconnect

Action Effect
Deactivate on a card Stops only that integration; the account stays connected for the others
Disconnect on an account Removes the account and stops every integration that uses it
Revoke from your Microsoft account Kibo loses access; the card switches to Action needed

If Kibo can no longer reach your account (password changed, access revoked), you get a notification with the account name: reconnect it from My account → Integrations → Plugins.

The data Kibo processes for each integration is described in the privacy policy.
